It’s that time of year, where parents, grandparents, and (amazing) aunts are all hunting for elusive perfect gift for the tween or teen who has everything. Wouldn’t it be amazing if you found a gift they will love? One that is affordable and could even help in an emergency? It would be the perfect tween gift!
My suggestion for the perfect tween gift is a portable cell phone charger? It’s like carrying a spare battery, but much easier. These devices are commonly called Power Banks and hold enough energy to charge a cell phone from dead to full anywhere, without plugging into an outlet.
These devices are easy to use, just simply charge the portable charger, and don’t forget it at home. Phones often run out of battery when we need them most, so simply pull out your portable charger and plug it into the phone. You’ll be able to use the phone right away to make that emergency call, or finish that important chat. Don’t forget to top off the portable changer next time your home, so it’s ready for the next time.
The best part is the variety available. One looks like a slice of pizza, others resemble popular game characters or symbols. The options available make it easy to choose one your tween/teen will love and that makes it more likely they will carry it with them. One of my favorites is the piggy bank.
With prices ranging from $20 to $50, besides the style the most important thing to look for is capacity. I would recommend at least 2600mAH. That is about the capacity of most smart phone batteries, and would offer a full change. Some units are bigger and can fully charge tablets as well, look for those to be at least 5000mAH. Keep in mind anything under 1000mAH is likely older and not going to offer much emergency power.
With Christmas on the way, in many places that means cold weather and snow. This great gift will make them happy, keep them connected and could make the difference between calling for help or walking alone.
If you know a family with tweens, be sure to share this perfect tween gift idea so more kids can have fun and stay safe this holiday season.
